Hi!
I've got some trouble with HD videos on Windows 7 using XBMC Frodo. They are bucking heavily. With XBMC Eden it works perfectly!
The videos are played from an SMB share of Windows Home Server 2011 (HP Microserver). With VLC and other media players it works with just fine (no special caching options or something).
Hardware:
CPU: AMD A8-3870
RAM: 8 GB (CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9)
Mainboard: ASRock A75M-HVS
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6550D (CPU-Integrated)
SSD: OCZ Agility 3 120GB
NIC: Realtek Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (onboard)
I found some threads with information to solve this problem, but nothing has helped so far.
I tried to downgrade Video-drivers from 13.1 to 12.1, tried to deactivate Aero, deactivate UAC, running XBMC as administrator, changing rendering mode to DXVA (with and without hardware acceleration)...
Then I downgraded to XBMC Eden und HD videos work again!
So is there something new in XBMC Frodo to work with Windows 7 and HD videos? Any option that must be checked? Any other idea?
