When trying to play a "streaming" video (i.e. using Livestream, AL Jazeera, Rentadrone.tv etc...) and while having "Adjust Display Refresh Rate to match video" enabled as well as "pause during refresh rate change" the following occurence happens resulting in a nearly immediate loss of the stream:
"Working" is shown in bottom right
Stream "opens"
Refresh rate adjusts / Stream Starts to play -> then stream is paused (happens nearly simultaneously; 1 or 2 seconds of video/audio from the stream comes through)
Stream is lost
XBMC goes back to home screen
This basically makes it such that when the condition stated above is true, one cannot use XBMC for streaming video. Ideally, I like to use a "3 second pause".
I have tried this with a number of different streams from many different add-ons and it produces the same results.
It seems that when I reduce the pause duration, the problem is lessened, meaning the stream drops "less often". When i turn the pause duration to "off", the problem is resolved; but this is not an ideal solution.
I am using the following:
Windows XBMC June Cycle
ATI card with HDMI video/audio
I know its not really a bug, as XBMC is doing exactly what its being told to do, and it is a matter of the stream losing its buffer after being paused(or something like that)
I wish there was a way to disable pausing during refresh rate change for streaming video from all the add-ons only, but keep it enabled for local/networked content.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
