Shutdown not working

If I select "Shutdown" from the exit menu, all that happens is that XBMC exits back to the desktop GUI, and no power off.

This did work fine in Eden.

Is this a known bug?

FWIW: Frodo 12.0, built and running on Fedora 17, 64 bit.
