When I hit the power button on my MCE remote, XBMCbuntu quit XBMC and dropped to the blue login screen.

In the log I see:
DBus: Error org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit.Manager.NotPrivileged - Authorization is required

I was running xbmc as user xbmc
