I already have my normal HTPC running XBMC Eden perfectly... and have just this week received a model B Pi onto which i have put raspbmc on a 4 GB class 6 SD card.
I dont do local scraping from the media on my NAS (long story) so each time i setup a new XBMC setup in my house i rescrape from the internet with no major problems as all the media is correctly named. My only problem is the length of time this takes. Here in the countryside in Ireland we are stuck on... wait for it... 1MB broadband, so scraping for 1TB of media takes anything upto 12 hours and the broadband cannot by used by any other laptop or wifi device during this time.
Would it be possible to copy my normal HTPCs XBMC database files... (namely the folder xbmc/userdata/Thumbnails and the folder xbmc/userdata/database) over to the folder .xbmc/userdata on the Pi via FTP?
Once i copied these two folders over, (and obviously Sources.xml) would it populate the database properly on the Pi without having to rescrape?
Thanks.
