I wrote this post in the Aeon Nox forum http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=152632 and didn't get any replies so I am hoping I can get an answer as a general question. I have a python script that uses it's own WindowXML file I have gone through the documentation on fonts, colors and controls etc and was wondering if there is a way for a WindowXML file to use it's own defaults and not the active skin's? Alternatively if I could somehow have it tell XBMC to takes the defaults from skin.confluence that should work too.
I have a bit of a workaround by going into the skin and changing all the textcolor, focusedcolor to the Confluence ARGB values but that seems like a bit of a overkill. I still end up with fonts that are too small and labels that are too wide (that might be because my WindowXML file is 720p and Aeon Nox is 1080 but I haven't got that one nailed down let.
