Here is my Home Theater System & HTPC setup
I started doing the whole HTPC system about 3 years ago... I was using windows 7 (media center) and a plugin player for playing Blu-ray's. It worked good, however I didn't like the looks of the windows media center so I re-skinned it black.
I started off with Windows Home Server version 1, and software raids. Upgraded to Windows Home Sever 2011 when it came out, I opted to go with the Hardware Raid solution that supported expandable raids.
Server Specs:
Dell PowerEdge T310
Xeon X3430
4g Ram
LSI Hardware Raid controller
15 Bay Raid Enclosure (Raid 6 w/ Hot swap Standby)
