I recently started re-ripping my music collection into flac format, but I've been having trouble with playback through XBMC on one computer.
It has a Core2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0GHz and 3 GB of ram. It's running Windows 7 (64 bit). XBMC doesn't have any issues playing .mp3 files or any video I've thrown at it, but playback of flac files "stutter". It will start playing for half a second, and then keep repeating the same part for a while. Playback of flac files through VLC works well.
On the other hand, I have a laptop with a 2 GHz processor and 2 GB of ram, running XP, and it plays flac files flawlessly.
Both computers are running XBMC Eden, and both are using wireless (in the same room).
Any thoughts?
