I need some help with what direction to turn:
Here is the equipment/setup I have:
Motherboard/GPU: ZOTAC GF9300-G-E LGA 775 NVIDIA GeForce 9300 HDMI Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
Windows 7
Latest Nvidia Drivers
TV: Panasonic VIERA TC-P55ST50 55-Inch 1080p 600Hz Full HD 3D Plasma
XBMC Eden 11.0
Connected straight from the computer to the TV via HDMI for video, Audio to my surround sound via Optical
Here is the issue I am having:
When I set the TV to Aspect Mode 2 (in the tv settings) and then on the computer set the resolution to 1920x1080 Windows looks completely normal at full resolution and fills the entire screen with no fuss. I then go into XBMC and go to Settings-->System-->Video-->Video Calibration, I adjust slightly and everything looks great.
My problem is that with those settings some of my video files won't display the video. On the TV it gives a generic error saying to check the input.
Now if I change the Aspect Mode on the TV to Mode 1(in the tv settings) the display is overscanned (over sized at 1920x1080 resolution) and I have to use the Nvidia control panel to re-size it to some weird aspect ratio like 1836x1042 to make windows look right and then go back into XBMC settings-->system-->video-->video calibration and adjust that. Then my all my video files will play properly.
I am not sure at this point how to set things to a true 1920x1080 and get everything to display at full resolution and have my all my video files play correctly.
I would be perfectly content leaving it at the weird resolution but when you try to watch a 3D video file it crops the left and right a bit and makes the 3D look a bit weird. If I change all the setting to reflect 1920x1080 it looks fine but then some video files won't play. Almost as if they are out of range or something.
Any thoughts would be really appreciated.
