Hi,
I am new to XBMC and also new to linux. I need help configuring my mce remote. The basic functions of the remote work and I was able to set it up to suspend and wake the computer.
I would like to configure some of the unused remote buttons to send keyboard presses. I want to set one button to act as the "Esc" key of the keyboard, another button to the "F5" key of the keyboard, and another button to the "F7" key of the keyboard.
These buttons would be used for emulators. I have configured advanced launcher to launch a few emulators. Pressing the escape key on the keyboard closes the emulators and returns to xbmc. Pressing the F5 and F7 keys on the keyboard saves and loads save states respectively. I would like to perform these functions with the remote instead of the keyboard. Therefore I want the buttons on my remote to act as if the button was pressed on the keyboard.
As I mentioned above I am new to xbmc and linux so I will need step by step instructions.
Thanks
