XBMC Clarification please ?

Hello.

I have XBMC running on my PC in the study.
In another room I have a Mede8er 600 media player attached by hdmi to my TV.
I can play my movies & music with xbmc through the Mede8er with UPnP but I have no XBMC Gui or artwork on the television.

Am I correct in believing that XBMC doesn't support this at the moment & that the only way to get the XBMC Gui or artwotk on the television is to connect the PC directly to the television ?
Or am I missing something ?
