Thought I share my experience with this Riimote.

I've only bought it a week ago. So far it has been the best investment for my HTPC. Running XBMC 11 on Ubuntu 12.04LTS
This little thing is both a full keyboard and an RF remote. A small touch pad, too.
The remote has 2 modes and I could immediately teach it to turn on/off the TV, controll the volume to my Receiver and in combination with the greatest thing ever invented Flirc (thanks Jason) I can also control the volume to my HTPC, scroll using the rocker switch and more. Of course you can use the keyboard or touch pad for this, too.
Nice backlight for keyboard.
Wake up the computer with no problem by pressing any button on the keyboard and yes, you can turn off the keyboard and have only the RF live.
Charge via the USB port. I fully charged it a week ago and no sign yet for a flat battery.
It wasn't cheap but it did solve all my problems having to use a remote RF and a mouse and a keyboard when in Ubuntu (now I am a real couch potato!) and it looks very sleek on my coffee table.
