Hi, I run windows 7 x64, and have been using Eden with no problems, I tried many times with the different betas to switch to Frodo but here is the problem...
The thumbs are way way too slow, by slow I mean it takes like 15-20+ seconds or longer for thumbs to load (and I mean a single thumb), then when I scroll to different movies/thumbs and wait for those thumbs to appear, if I go back to previously loaded thumbs I have to wait again for 20 seconds (and sometimes allot longer) I would have thought that there would be a million posts complaining about this so I waited, but as it seems there are not I was wondering if others are having this issue? When I switch back to eden, the thumbs are instant and everything is perfect, but its so slow on Frodo its simply unusable?
I even tried to rescan my library (about 600 movies and 600 tv episodes) thinking that would work, but as soon as around 50 or so movies get scanned the problem starts up again, All the movies are on my computer so there not on a network drive or anything and I use whatever Frodo uses for the database (SQL I guess right?) anyway am I the only one having this issue? I know Frodo changed the way it cashes thumbs from Eden but Do I have to turn that cashe on or something because its so slow now I don't see how anyone can use it, or Im the only one with these issues.
Anyway Im using Eden again so all is well but would like to eventually make the switch to Frodo, I have a good computer so thats not a issue. Thanks for any insight into this matter (Maybe theres a way to use Frodo with Edens casheing system?)
BTW XBMC is hands down the coolest media center on the planet, I love it! So thanks for all the hard work in making it![Smile]( "Smile")
