Can any of you comment on my build? Looking for some help to decide on mobo/cpu. There are 2 factors that I am left debating to lower the price on my build:
1) Looking for a smooth experience to run xbmc in win 7 with Aeon skin, and easy viewing of high quality 1080p files over a network with no lag. I want it to be really smooth, I don't want any sort of lagging or issues playing files.
Intel Core i3 3225 $125.00
Intel core i3 3220 $92
Intel Celeron G555 2.7GHz $56
Intel Pentium G870 3.1GHZ $86
- Are the core i3 overkill? Or am I safer over spec'ing than under?
2) Need to work with Logitech Harmony One
ASRock H77M-ITX LGA1155 $111.00
Ineset IR receiver $25
- the mobo is quite expensive but I have chosen it only because of the CIR possibility I have read in the power on/off thread (and the only asrock mobo I can get my hands on in ITX)
ASUS P8H61-I R2.0 mITX LGA1155 H61 $84.99
Flirc $25
- will this give me the same Logitech Harmony control
The rest of the build:
Kingston HyperX 2X4GB $24.99
Realan E-i5 120W / 84W adapter $115.98 (very low clearance case)
Sandisk SATA III, 120GB $69.00
