Content shows as videos, not movies.

I have my movies on a NAS (actually WD TV Live). When I added them to XBMC the movies were set as movies not videos. Movies was a choice on the home screen. Yesterday, I did unplug the NAS for a minute. I am running the library watchdog add-on. When I checked XBMC today, movies was no longer on the home screen, just videos. All of my movies were there under videos. I did hit "C" and reset the content as movies, and re-scraped, now things are fine.
Did the library watchdog see that the NAS was off and somehow deleted the movies. If so, why were the files still there under videos. Maybe I will just disable this add-on since I don't add movies very often.
