Turn on/off script for playercorefactory

Hello,

I want to setup MPC-HC as an external player and the thing I will miss the most is the subtitles addon.
So I was thinking. Could one devise a script to disable or enable the external player?
For example if I have one movie that doesn't have subtitles, I would turn the external player off, play it in XBMC, download the subtitles, stop it, enable external player and then play it in the external player.

Would this be possible somehow? I was thinking of maybe a script that renames the playercorefactory temporarily, but I guess that is loaded once upon startup only?
