Im getting somewhere, although I dont know how. Its starting to work ou just fine. I dont know why, however. I added AL, but Im not using it to launch games, merely RB.

Can I get rid of AL?

Hello,

since version 16.0 (Jarvis) the key presses sometimes are delayed for severals seconds. Sometimes I press a key (for example I for the info display) and I see the result after 10-15 seconds. I have Windows 10 64 bit.

With Version 15 (Isengard) all worked fine. I've tried the newest version 16.1 (Release Candidat 2), but the problem still exists.

Some ideas?

FIX for all those suffering from buffering

I started using the latest stable ServerWMC two days ago with Jarvis RC 2, experiencing heavy buffering after starting Live TV or after channel switching on a premium dvb-s2 tuner (FloppyDTV), while everything was working smooth in WMC itself.

You can get rid of that caching and buffering by doing the following:

1) Open ServerWMC user interface in Windows desktop
2) Go to tab "Debug"
3) Click on "Edit Settings File"
4) Search for the "PlayBack" section and the line "BufferDelayLiveMS"
5) Change the value from 0 to e.g. 3000
6) Save the edited file
7) Click "Reload Settings File" in ServerWMC's "Debug" tab

In my case 3000ms gives Kodi a 50% buffer headstart after starting/switching channels, enabling smooth playback afterwards whether HD or SD content. I imagine this value might be different on different hardware and it's just a question of finetuning by repeating those steps with different values to find the threshold.

With a value of 0ms on my hardware the playback buffer after starting/switching channels is just ~15% and often times drops to 0% resulting in (sometimes non recovering) caching/buffering.

Great job ServerWMC devs, using Window's builtin PVR capabilities. Apart from those buffering hickups (which are not your fault) this is by far the easiest way with the least overhead to get live tv running in Windows Kodi.

Livestream and sportmix has sound but no image. Based on what I can see on internet, I need to have libstagefright under Acceleration / video setting. I only have MediaCodec and Mediccodec(surface). Can you advise how I install libstagefright.

Is a video player updatable?

My parents like watching shani Arabic channels especially MBC. But seems like the only video player that usually works is glarab: HD video player for that channel. (Iptv planet,shani low,etc used to work long time ago). Glarab low always works but glarab HD goes down a lot. My questions:

1) can I watch MBC using glarab low instead of glarab hd since hd goes down a lot?
2) is there a way to get other plugins like iptv planet to work with MBC?
3) if all plugins are down...where do I go to update so I can at least watch MBC?

I am hoping someone can give me an explanation. I admit I am not a Kodi guru; however, I have been playing with setting up Kodi 16 and the add-ons USTVNOW and PseudoTV Live. So yesterday, i got both working perfectly with a remote control even. i shutdown normally both Kodi and the Windows 8.1 box. Today, I turn them on and launch PTLV and it starts updating channels then just goes back to the main menu. Apparently it is still running in the background because if I try to do something in settings is says not available while running. So I try USTVNOW and it tries to open the stream then just hangs "working".

I have been going around and around for a few months with this issue. Not be very experienced with Kodi, I thought it was something I was doing. But after yesterday and everything working perfectly, shutting down and no nothing works, I don't think it is me. Perhaps I don't have some setting right or something. Can someone help? Thanks.

Music Tagging of genres and styles and how to show them in Music Library

Hello there

I'm tagging my music (ID3) with genres and styles (allmusic way). They have a couple of main genres (like Pop/Rock; R&B, etc...) that get tagged in the Grouping ID3 tag field, and some other styles (like Alternative Indie/Rock; Contemporary R&B, etc...) that get tagged into the Genre ID3 field. This way, Kodi recognize them all and show them in the Music Library.
Now my problem (and i don't know if this is possible), is when I go to the music collection (Artists, Albums, Genres, etc...) and click Genres, I get them all together, the ones in the grouping ID3 tag and the ones in the genre ID3 tag (this way: Pop/Rock, R&B, Alternative Indie/Rock, Contemporary R&B, etc....).
Is there anyway I can show only the Grouping ID3 tag field (the main more general ones) in the Genre node, and let's say the others (a lot more, and more specific) in a Style Node, or similar?.

Hi there,

Not sure if this is the correct forum to ask in as to whether I need to set something within the Titan settings (been through them all - I think) or whether it's something I need to change in the main Kodi settings or in add-ons themselves.

I'm trying to show movies and tv shows (that I have stored in a watchlist within my Trakt.tv account) when the main movies button or main tv shows buttons are selected. If I go into add-ons for instance and add a movie to the library then it shows up then but I'd like to use my Trakt account to do this instead so that it works across different Kodi installs (currently have one on iphone, one on iPad and one on a MacBook Pro).

Also related to the above but possibly nothing to do with Titan is, when this is working the way I want it to will movies and tv shows remember where I watched to on one device and then ask me if I want to resume playback when I try to continue watching them on another device?

Sorry for all the questions here and if none of them are related to Titan then please do feel free to move this post to the best forum.

I just followed the steps described from git:

but I get the error:

Running Kodi 15.2 on Android.14.4.4.

Click on pretty much any app and get a list of TV shows or movies. The list will come up as a simple list or a thumbnail spread. Go to the left popout menu, set to simple list. Play video and at the end goes back to the list which may be the simple list format that was chosen or thumbnails. This does not happen every time but probably 40-60 % of the time in a random manner. Thumbnails are nice to have when looking at a bunch of videos with fan art but totally counter productive when looking at a list of stream sources or pretty much anything else.

This has been happening for about a month and I can't find any setting that sets a default view for lists. I don't recall this happening when I first installed Kodi 15.2. Anyone know how to stop this annoyance?

Encountered a strange problem.
Kodi was working fine on Windows 7.
New Windows 10 install, new SSD disk. Same version of Kodi installed (Jarvis 16.0)

After first run scanning SMB Share was working OK.

During second run:

- Scanning SMB share takes forever.
- Logs swamped with:
13:26:51 T:2104 WARNING: XFILE::CWin32SMBDirectory::ConnectAndAuthenticate: Can't connect to "\\server\share" with username "user" and with password because of conflict of credential. Will try to close current connections.
13:26:57 T:2104 WARNING: Previous line repeats 2 times.
13:26:57 T:2104 WARNING: XFILE::CWin32SMBDirectory::ConnectAndAuthenticate: Can't connect to "\\server\share" with username "user" and with password. Error code: 1219

- Kodi hangs on exit.
- Process runs in Task Manager.

This SMB share is accessed with one working username/password, accessed from different KODI installs.

Re-Installing Kodi helps for 1 run. Rebooting PC does not help.

Deliting video library and importing old one does not help.

Share added as source only once, with one username/password.

Please confirm whether this addon can help me to solve the issue facing with Aeon MQ 6 extrapack?

For info, i have installed Aeon MQ 6 skin, and in order to get more themes i have decided to install MQ 6 extrapack, but unfortunately all themes displayed under Extrapack menu are blank (only the standard theme is displayed) and the same issue hapened with animated weather icon.

hey guys,

I have a problem:

I installed kodi following this: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=231955

And sound was working fine. I could choose HDMI or analog, and there was sound on both outputs. With alsa aplay, I was even able to play test wav sound through analog or HDMI out only.

But because I wanted sound on both outputs simultaneously, I installed pulseaudio.

Now I have two options in the Kodi: default and analog, and both output only to analog. It is like HDMI is not even recognised. help!

Other than that, I realised, if I try to play sound with aplay on analog, it works:

Issues skipping Recorded/Live TV

Apologies if this isn't the right forum to post in, please let me know if it's not.

I've got a Nexus Player (Android TV) set up running NPVR and on some recordings (I find that it's more the HD ones rather than SD, so 1080i rather than 526/720), the file plays without an issue, until I skip back/forward, or FF/REW a certain amount. Then the video freezes where it is, and the audio keeps playing. In the logs, I get the following error:

Hi guys,

maybe i'm to dumb for this but i actually have the problem that there are no soundtracks getting played in the tv shows menu.
i got the submenu with the title "tv tunes" and it asks me for "do you want to download the track for "arrow" for example, then it downloads and thats it.
nothing get played.

in the tvtunes settings everything is enabled, autoplay, autodownload for all missing tv shows, stop playing when leaving & so on.
is there something i am missing?

do i have to enable it somehow in the artic zephyr settings?

i have been downloading the nightly builds the las 5-6 days
always error message when trying to runn after install

prog. cant start because of missing python27.dll

reinstall does not fix, also todays download did not fix

2. does nobody actually notice this
